Black Limousine

drive through the night till

all she sees are stars

on the highwayside

flitting past her car

foregone conclusions

all songs end too soon

for her to conclude

the deal she's stationed to

constellations

of darkest night and dread

blacker mornings

spit out parking lot dead

flies and maggots

scum of the strip unearthed

sighs of ragged

heiresses slaughtered and birthed

of the virgin

sent down into the depths

of her murderous

soul tortured and repressed

like her father

of the church for the damned she begs

for a reprieve

for the mourning to end

  and night sets again

  and all of the stars

  blink out and into

  her luxury scars

  her stretch limousine

  soars into a bleak

  sky so obscene

  distant mountain peaks

  pulse with her own blood

  her moaning heart's pour

  lament of her nameless

  chauffeur pointing toward

  the end of a bleary

  trail between

  two pinnacle summits

  a fog-strewn stream

  unconsciousness claims her

  and delivers her to

  a bed under black stars

  where strange dreams conclude

in Carcosa

and she will again
